Description:

Functional requirements of packaging materials. Protective lacquers on food cans. Multilayer (laminates) and composite materials. Advances in food packaging materials and methods. Packaging machinery. Storage conditions. Packaging material selection for specific food product and processing conditions (sterilisation, freezing). Packaging material selection for: fresh food packaging, dry and processed food packaging. Food-packaging interaction. Legislation in food packaging. Seminars: Tasks definition and allocation; Packaging material and method for a selected product. Seminars presentation by student.
